Read Across America
Read Across America, sponsored by the National Teachers’ Association, is celebrated each year on March 2, the birthday of the children’s author, Dr. Seuss.
The purpose of this celebration is to promote the love of reading. Research tells us that the more children read, the better they read. Also, the more children read outside of school, the better they perform in school.
