| In December, all 3 second grade classes wrote holiday letters and drew pictures for Marines stationed in Iraq. We sent them to my (Ms. Goodell's) cousin, Cpl. Christopher Goodell. He is a navigator in the Marines and served in Iraq for a total of 3 months. When he arrived back home on February 26th, he agreed to come and visit our classes. On March 7, 2005 Cpl. Goodell talked with us about what it is like being a Marine, and, what it was like in Iraq. He answered all of our questions and he showed us pictures of his plane. He is currently stationed at Stewart Airforce Base in Newburgh, NY. |
