During marking period two, the third grade students at Heights School have been using the computers in many areas. This holiday project was done to introduce the children to the different holidays celebrated in December. The students worked with partners to research information on a specific holiday and then created a Neo Office presentation, which was later converted to PowerPoint format. The students organized their information into slide presentations. They included colorful backgrounds and imported pictures from a file. This project was completed with the Third Grade Teachers and Mrs. Capela as guides. We applaud their sometimes interesting use of font size, colors and spacing. Not only is their work informative, it is also creative.
