On Election Day, November 6, the Board of Education sponsored the opportunity for District staff to attend two professional development workshops on timely topics in the current educational arena. The morning began with a talk by Jane Mecca, Esq., a member of the law firm of Fogarty & Hara, who represent the school district, on the professional and legal implications of the use of e-mail in the course of school business, along with other legal issues concerning public schools. The day concluded with a session presented by Ms. Betsy Coyne, on practical applications of Microsoft Office in an educational setting.
