    Kindergarten:
In kindergarten, we will be exploring what it means to be a student and friend. We will be exploring various foundational skills to help us become readers, mathematicians, and writers. In the beginning of the year, we will be learning our classroom routines, how to be a friend, and how to build independence in our classroom! Please see the Kindergarten tab to see what we are currently learning in reading, writing, math, and word work!

    Daily Homework:
Please see your child's take-home folder. Homework will be given on Mondays-Thursdays. Any homework that is assigned will be in the bring right back side of their folder. On days when a homework page is not assigned, please review letters, sounds, heart words, and math facts.

    3rd Grade:
In 3rd grade reading, we will be continuing to build skills in reading, writing, and math. Please see the 3rd grade tab to see what we are currently learning in reading, writing, math, and word work!

    Daily Homework:
Reading- 3rd Grade reading homework will be 15-20 minutes of reading from Monday-Thursday.  A reading log will be sent home to track reading habits. Our main goal is to read something every day, whether it is a book, decodable reader, raz-kids, cereal boxes, comics- anything!

Math- Math homework will be given Monday-Thursday. Please practice math facts daily, especially on days when a math page is not sent home.

Word Work- Every Monday, a phonics focus page will be sent home that includes the skills being assessed and weekly homework assignments. Word work homework will be completed in the provided spelling journal, and journals will be collected on Fridays. Spelling tests are given on Fridays.
