I would like to welcome you and your child to what I think will be a memorable school year.
This is a very special time in your child's life. He or she will be learning many new things this year-academic skills,
organizational skills, social skills, self-confidence and responsibility. I am looking forward to an exciting, successful, and productive year.

My mission is to create a safe, comfortable environment where learners feel respected and confident enough to take risks and become more critical thinkers. I want to provide experiences where each individual is motivated to learn and inspired to challenge themselves.
This is my 19th year teaching at Manito School. As a former Manito student , I am thrilled to be a teacher here in Oakland. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Montclair State University.
Also, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from The College of St. Elizabeth. Then, I continued my professional development further by earning credits through The College of New Jersey: RTC Education Program.
