Welcome to Speech and Language!

  • How can I help my child succeed?

Practicing speech and language skills at home is an important part in helping students reach their speech and language goals.  10-15 minutes of practice every day will help them to generalize the skills learned during their speech and language sessions.   Please visit the google site below to find some activities that you can do with your child to reinforce what we are working on in speech!

Use this link for 'homework' that you can do with your child to carryover their speech skills: MANITO SPEECH HOMEWORK

Speech homework should never be challenging or used to teach a new skill, but to reinforce the skills your child is successful with during speech sessions.  If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to me with a phone call or email!

What do Speech Therapists do in the school setting?

    • Speech-language pathologists help kids with all types of language and communication struggles.

    • They’re part of the child study team at school.

    • They may work with kids one-on-one or in small groups, or they may co-teach lessons with the classroom teacher.

What's the difference between school based and private speech therapy?
