Kindness Starts with One


Band – lessons for today are as follows:

Period 1 - Indianapolis

Period 2 - Knoxville

Period 4 - Jinja City

Period 7 - Group L

Period 8 - Miami

*A reminder that there will be a CHALLENGER BAND Rehearsal tomorrow from 2:45 - 3:30 p.m.


Show Choir - Show Choir Spring Solo Auditions will be held today after school in the cafetorium. Please check the list on the cafe door for updated times. Results from today's audition will be posted Friday morning outside of Room 15. 


Choir - All sopranos in both choirs will rehearse today during period 8 in the cafetorium.


Bowling Club - meets today at Holiday Bowl from 3:00-4:15. New members are still welcome to attend, but MUST have a permission slip turned in to Ms. Marion or Mr. Messina prior to attending.


Volleyball Club - practice will be held after school today from 2:45 - 4:00. Please sign up in the gym if you plan on attending.


Attention all 7th and 8th graders interested in track and field this spring.  If you missed our meeting, please pick up the paperwork in the office.  All forms are due to the nurse by March 13th.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Myones.


Attention 8th Graders - Deposits for the Grade 8 trip to Philadelphia are now past due.  All deposits and paperwork, including health forms and insurance card copies, are due into the main office immediately.


Basketball Tournament / Intramural - basketball intramurals will take place today from 2:45 - 4:00pm.  You must have a signed permission slip and a Physical form on file with the nurse.  The sign-up sheet and permission slips are located in the gym.  See Mrs. Mastrofilipo if you have any questions.


Safety Town applications are now available in the office and open to all students...Deadline is March 13th.


The Cooking Club - will be meeting Tuesday, March 10th from 2:45-4:30 to make Grandma's classic chocolate chip cookies.  Permission slips are on the club bulletin board. Check with Mrs. Connolly and Mrs. Steng for further details.

Any students who will be 14 by the end of the school year and are interested in working at Oakland summer camp, applications are available in the main office.


Attention Parents of K-8 Students: A Parent University Workshop will take place on Monday, March 9th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Dogwood Hill Elementary School. Topic of discussion will be Depression and Anxiety presented by Dr. Jeanne Marron, Ph.D. Please RSVP by March 4th by calling 201-337-4442 Ext. 7 if you plan on attending.
