Kindness Starts with One

 

REMINDER!  Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend.  Before going to bed Saturday night set your clocks ahead 1 hour.

 

Band – lessons for today are as follows:

Period 3 - Fort Lauderdale

Period 7 - Group G

Period 8 - Atlantis

*A reminder that there will be a CHALLENGER BAND Rehearsal today from 2:45 - 3:30 p.m.

 

Choirs - All choirs members in both choirs will rehearse today during period 5 in the cafetorium.

 

Choir - The following students please report to room 15 now: Grace Lustig, Meredith Godfrey and Deborah Myhren.

 

Show Choir - Mrs. Hartsuiker would like to thank the 20 choir members who auditioned yesterday afternoon for a spring solo.  Results of the audition are posted outside of room 15.  

 

Attention all 7th and 8th graders interested in track and field this spring.  If you missed our meeting, please pick up the paperwork in the office.  All forms are due to the nurse by March 13th.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Myones.

                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Attention 8th Graders - Deposits for the Grade 8 trip to Philadelphia are now past due.  All deposits and paperwork, including health forms and insurance card copies, are due into the main office immediately.

 

Safety Town applications are now available in the office and open to all students...Deadline is March 13th.

 

The Cooking Club - will be meeting Tuesday, March 10th from 2:45-4:30 to make Grandma's classic chocolate chip cookies.  Permission slips are on the club bulletin board. Check with Mrs. Connolly and Mrs. Steng for further details.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Any students who will be 14 by the end of the school year and are interested in working at Oakland summer camp, applications are available in the main office.

 

Attention Parents of K-8 Students: A Parent University Workshop will take place on Monday, March 9th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Dogwood Hill Elementary School. Topic of discussion will be Depression and Anxiety presented by Dr. Jeanne Marron, Ph.D. Please RSVP by March 4th by calling 201-337-4442 Ext. 7 if you plan on attending.
