Band – lessons for today are as follows:

*A reminder that there will be a LAUNCH PAD BAND rehearsal TODAY from 2:45 - 3:30 p.m. 

 **Indian Hills High School Marching Band is in need of more color guard members, or flag twirlers, for the upcoming season. No experience necessary at all.  If you are interested, please see Mr. Clark in the band room for more information.  

 

Attention all 7th and 8th graders interested in track and field this spring.  If you missed our meeting, please pick up the paperwork in the office.  All forms are due to the nurse by Friday.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Myones.

                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Attention 8th Graders - Deposits for the Grade 8 trip to Philadelphia are now past due.  All deposits and paperwork, including health forms and insurance card copies, are due into the main office immediately.

 

Attention Sixth Graders - 6th GRADE CARNIVAL is coming up! On Friday, March 20th, compete against your friends in crazy games of skill, win gift cards by participating in the DJ’s games and enjoy an array of carnival food such as Italian ice and popcorn. We look forward to seeing EVERY 6th grader at the Carnival on March 20h at 7:30.

 

The Step-up club - will be meeting on Thursday until 3:30. We will be planting flowers for you to take home.  Permission slips are located on the club bulletin board.  See Mrs. Mastrofilipo or Ms. Mihovics if you have any questions.

 

Mr. Wordsman's period TWO reading class should report directly to the library. All of his other classes are to report to room 310.

 

Volleyball Tournament / Intramural - There will be Volleyball Tournament intramural on Wednesday from 2:45 - 4:00pm .  You must have a signed permission slip and a Physical form on file with the nurse.  The sign-up sheet and permission slips are located in the gym.  See Mrs. Mastrofilipo or Mr. Deraco if you have any questions.

Safety Town applications are now available in the office and open to all students...Deadline is Friday.

 

The Cooking Club - will be meeting Tuesday from 2:45-4:30. Permission slips are on the club bulletin board. Students who will be 14 by the end of the school year and are interested in working at Oakland summer camp, applications are available in the main office.

 

Attention Parents of K-8 Students: A Parent University Workshop will take place today from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Dogwood Hill Elementary School. Topic of discussion will be Depression and Anxiety presented by Dr. Jeanne Marron, Ph.D. Please RSVP by calling 201-337-4442 Ext. 7 if you plan on attending.

 

Oakland Police Department 2020 Junior Police Academy – will be held from July 17thto July 24th from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  Special demonstrations from: Bergen County K-9/SWAT/Bomb Squad; State Police Aviation Unit; many other fun events scheduled. Applications are available on the Oakland Police Department website or in the VMS main office. Deadline is May 1, 2020.
