Band – Lessons for today are as follows:

Period 1 - As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally, I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty

Period 2 - Group W

Period 3 - Back To the Future & Coraline

Period 5 - Daffy Duck's Quackbusters & Eat Your Makeup

Period 6 - Vaadhdavsachva Haardik Shuhhechcha  (VHS…Happy Birthday)

*There will be a JAZZ BAND rehearsal after school until 3:40 p.m.  Please note the later end time. 

**There is still time to sign up for Percussion Ensemble!  No experience necessary and the group will meet on Thursdays after school until 3:45 p.m.  Be sure to get a permission slip as well from Mr. Clark. Tomorrow will be the first meeting in the band room!

 

Choir - Regional Choir applications must be submitted by next Tuesday, December 17. Please reach out to Mr. Noonan with any questions.

 

"12 Days of Kindness" Day 5 Challenge – Give a small gesture of encouragement to those around you. Whether it is through words, a note, a message, an email, an e-card, or using our very own VMS candy cane grams.  Send a friend, a family member, or a colleague a little “pick me up” today.

 

Environmental Club – the 2nd meeting will take place on Wednesday, 12/18 from 2:45-4:00PM. If you would like to join, please grab a permission slip from the bulletin board and submit it to Mr. Fichter before the next meeting. We will be starting the construction of our aquaponics fish tank. Yes - it's  "O-Fish-ally" happening! See you then!

 

Attention Students - Library Lunch Bunch begins today. Students will be able to come to the library during their lunch period after they finish eating.  This time will be used to complete work and/or read.  Please see Ms. Butterworth if you have any questions!

 

Bowling Club - The next meeting of the Bowling Club will be on Thursday from 2:45 until 4:00 at the Holiday Bowl! All are welcome to join. Grab a permission slip off the club bulletin board. See Ms. Binder or Ms. Latka with any questions.

 

Cheerleading - will practice today until 3:45. Thursday and Friday practice will be until 4:15.

 

Math Club – is back for this school year.  The first meeting will take place today until 3:30 in Room 304.  Make sure you pick up a permission slip and join the Google classroom.  See Mr. Jacobsen with any questions.

 

The RC Car club - will meet in room 22 on Friday before going outside to the 6th grade blacktop.  Friday's meeting will run from 2:45 until 4:00.

  

The Sports Fanatics Club -  meets today from 2:45-3:45pm in Room 204.

 

Word Wizards – The next meeting is Tuesday, Dec. 17th from 2:45-4:00 in room 4.

 

Outstanding Oakland Club - the first meeting is today in Room 303 from 2:45-4:00PM. Bring old t-shirts that you're willing to cut up into dog toys for Oakland’s Bergen Animal Rescue! Permission slips are required and can be found on the club bulletin board.

 

Medical Clearance for Sports Clubs - The next deadline to submit forms to the health office for clearance is January 6th.  Medical clearance is required to participate in the following clubs:  Basketball, Bowling, Girls Flag Football, Golf, Hiking & Ecology, Pickleball, Tennis, Valley Dance Troupe and Volleyball.
